UPDATE
Thursday, 02 April 2009

Hello, reader.

It has been a long time since I've updated the site and I apologize. In addition to the fibromyalgia, which makes daily life a constant struggle from the chronic pain, it turns out that I am hypothyroid and anemic. I haven't had the energy to work on the site or even write for that matter. I've been on the thyroid medicine for going on three weeks now and for the last week I have been back to work on DYING MOON. My brain seems to be waking up. It is going good.

Also, I had an endometrial biopsy done last week. I find out next week if I have uterine cancer. It runs in my family. I'm hoping not. At any rate, I am really looking forward to feeling better and getting back to work. I knew there was something wrong. I changed doctors and I really like the new doctor. He found the problem right away.

Now for an update.

VENDETTA is still in the works, along with DYING MOON.  I don't know when they will be done and if they will be full novel length or novella. I'm just following the flow of the muse. If I keep up at the rate I'm at now, I should have something ready early next year.  I'm hoping to get some new stories written and out soon as well, but I'm not rushing it.

I will be attending World Horror Con in Winnipeg at the end of April and look forward to meeting new people, as well as some friends I've made online. The fabulous F. Paul Wilson will be there and I'm excited about meeting him. If you've never read any of his work, please check him out. He doesn't disappoint.

I may be at HyperiCON in Nashville as an attendee, but it may just be for one day. I only live a few hours away and it is the only place I get to see some of my friends.

I should be at DragonCON as a guest, as usual, in September.

If you see me at one of the Cons, don't be shy. I don't bite most of the time.

April 11, 2008

Hello and test welcome. I finally got around to redesigning and updating the website. I'm still in the middle of it, but hopefully I'll have it finished soon. Since I haven't gotten the news link up yet, I'll fill you in here.

My story "Family Reunion" will be appearing in Werewolf Magazine #8 next month. It will also be making another appearance in Blood Moon Rising #36 . At the moment, there is nothing listed for the issues, but I've been told that they are working on it.

Last year, on a fluke, I wrote a flash literary story for a themed issue of a literary magazine. To my suprise, they loved it and my story "Liberty Takes Inventory" will appear in the Spring 08 "Stolen Issue" of Thereby Hangs a Tale Literary Magazine. This is another case where the issue is not on the web page, but I've been told that the issue is being put together and will be advertised soon. I'm currently working on my novella VENDETTA. I'm at 12,000 words at the moment. I should have it done by early summer. Here's a short blurb I've written for it. A place of legend exists in one of the oldest parts of Memphis. Voodoo Village is a place of mystery and secrecy. When four college students decide to get a closer look, what was supposed to have been some harmless fun turns into tragedy. Now someone has a vendetta and they are out for blood. Once the novella is done, I'll talk more about what inspired me to write it. I also have some short stories looking for homes.

They come home to roost now and then. I clean them up a bit and send them back out. I will be making an appearance at HyperiCON in Nashville. Not as a guest, but just as an attendee. If anyone wants to find me, I won't be hard to find. It's a small convention. I'll also be at DragonCON in Atlanta on Labor Day weekend. I'll probably be a guest. I haven't sent in an application yet. Once that is done I have to wait for approval. I was a guest last year, so I don't see why I wouldn't be a guest this year. If you need to contact me, you can try here and if that doesn't work, try here. I'd love to hear from you.
